Happy International Bacon Day - Also: Contest Winners!

Today is International Bacon Day, a day for people all over the world to celebrate, appreciate, and feast upon that crown jewel of smoked pigmeat, bacon.  For American readers, this is also the first day of our 3-day Labor Day weekend.  I can't think of a better way to kick off a three-day holiday, can you?

In other news, we have some contest winners!

To help support the Spam Meal Makeover Challenge, the good folks at Hormel provided Dave's Cupboard with a SPAM-branded trivet and spatula set for a giveaway to correspond with Challenge #3, SPAM and Pasta.  Challenge #3 is over (you can check the recipes submitted to the challenge by clicking here) and we've drawn a winner in the Trivet and Spatula Giveaway.  There were seven entries into our contest, and the winner - drawn at RANDOM.ORG is reader Shelly Fisher!  Congratulations, Shelly, we'll be sending you your cool SPAM swag via Priority Mail within the next two days.

All entrants may verify their participation in the drawing by clicking on this link to RANDOM.ORG.  You will be asked to enter the email address you used to enter.

We also have winners for our International Bacon Day Purina Beggin' coupon giveaway in honor of the Beggin' Bacon Bash in Cincinatti.  No drawing was necessary for this one, because we only had two entries, each of whom will receive a coupon good for one free package (15 oz or smaller) of Purina Dog Snacks or Cat Treats - any variety.  Congratulations to readers Chelle Jonovic and Vickie Rice.

Thank you to everyone who participated!
